How Pet Insurance for Birds Can Help
Just like any pet, birds need vaccinations, annual vet visits, and check-ups for any medical condition that could occur.
In fact, some birds can live up to twenty-five years and of course, there will be health issues that can arise over the years.
Birds, unlike dogs and cats, are more susceptible to avian disease and other parasites.
However, their immune system is not as strong and when they do get sick, they need to be treated as soon as possible.
And if your bird gets really sick or hurt, the vet bills can become very expensive.
Don’t be surprised if one serious illness leaves you with a vet bill anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000.
And that’s when pet insurance becomes extremely valuable.
